Notice of Race: international

SC-AMS, Sportunion Wien, ÖSV, LSVW

Venue

Neue Donau Wien, Sailing Center North (A22 Exit Strebersdorf)

Eligibility

8 teams of 4 Optimist boats, 1 spare boat per team permitted. Participants must bring their own boats.

International open for all boats of the class Optimist, registered in a national authority and members of ISAF, that accord to the class rules and hold valid insurance. Participants need to be members of a registered national Sailing Organisation.

Rules

The event will be held according to

  • the Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012 and the special Team Racing Rules of Appendix D,
  • Instructions of the Austrian Sailing Federation 2009,
  • the Optimist Class Rules,
  • the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions and by the official Notice of the Race Committee.

The Provisions of the Austrian Anti Doping Law of 2007 apply. Penalties are given by Umpires (Umpires Races) according to App. D2.2.

Advertising

The event is classified as category A, ISAF Regulation 20, for Optimists, according to Optimist class Rules (personal advertising) the event is classified as category C ISAF Regulation 20.

Fee

The entry fee is ¤ 100 per team, to be paid in cash by the teamleader at registration.

Registration

Registration will take place on Friday, 5 to 7 p.m., and on Saturday 8.30 to 9.00 a.m.

Disclaimer of Liability

Competitors commit to sail according to Sailing rules and all rules valid for this event. They sail at their own responsibility and risk. The sailing club SC-AMS and its volunteers take no responsibility for any damages regarding material or personal injury whether ashore or afloat.

Parking

Parking area P2 is just past the bridge over the motorway, 200 meters away from the Sailing Center. Driving into the Sailing Club area is only possible for unloading and loading the boats. Vehicles must then return immediately to the parking area P2.

Accommodations

Campers and motor homes can be parked at the club after registration with club officials.
